Hello from London, England

Hi, my name is Jane, a lifelong knitter who has just dipped her toe into the world of spinning. I attended a fibre retreat in March where the seeds were planted by some enthusiastic spinners. Next was a day's course at the Handweavers Studio and the die was cast. I have been the proud owner of an Ashford Traditional for a whole week and have produced this - my first proper skein of yarn! It's in two natural shades of Blue Faced Leicester. It's a flawed beauty but it makes me very happy. Details are on my blog .

I am looking forward to learning lots from the experienced spinners here!

Hi Jane!

Congratulations on your new wheel! Have fun playing with it! I'm also new at spinning and have been spinning Bluefaced Leicester too.

Thankyou all for your visits to my blog and kind words. I am in awe of the work shown here.

It's a good idea to keep my skein on hand for a while to see if I make progress!

And I am glad I loaded my niddy noddy correctly!
