I did have a go with the plying ball this week and it's a technique I'd definitely use again. I like the idea of using up every bit of fiber and this is a great way to get a 2-ply yarn without any waste. There's a full post about it with more pictures on my blog.

That's the best use I've seen yet of a clog! I may have to buy a pair just to use for plying. :-) I've been studying different blogs on the felt ball ply technique. Spinning Spider Jenny shows wrapping the ball straight from the ball winder. Must experiment.
